South Australia (which is a state in the southern central part of Australia) has boundaries with every other Australian state and territory except the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania. The state's economy centres on the agricultural, manufacturing and mining industries and has an increasingly significant finance sector as well. The principal exports are wheat, wine and wool. More than half of Australia's wines are produced here. The WineriesAbout South Australian Wines Adelaide About Adelaide

Kangaroo Island combines different landscapes and environments - from
desert dunes, stunning beaches, forests, and farmlands - and it is the
best place to see native wildlife in the wild. Koalas are everywhere and
the seals are lazing beside you on the beach. There are echidnas, platypus,
goannas, wallabies and kangaroos.
Yorke Peninsula is perhaps South Australia's favourite holiday spot - according to the locals. Renowned for their cruisy atmosphere and laidback lifestyle, the beaches of Yorke Peninsula are great places to go swimming, surfing, fishing or on a family picnic. Yorke Peninsula begins an easy 90 minute drive northwest from Adelaide. Highway One takes you to Port Wakefield where you begin your journey westward, down the peninsula. If on the other hand, you follow the signs from Port wakefield to Port Augusta and Whyalla and you will eventually end up in Port Lincoln at the southern end of the Eyre Peninsula. With more than 2,000 kilometres of coastline, you get as much space to yourself as you need. There are sheltered coves and bays that are perfect for fishing as well as secluded beaches.
